Rincon de la Vieja National Park expands

Costa Rica's new president, Carlos Alvarado, signed a law this week to increase the size of Rincon de la Vieja National Park. Currently covering 14,300 hectares, it is set to grow to 16,182 hectares, an increase of 13%. This decision should mean that the inhabitants of the town of Liberia, located at the base of the volcano, will no longer be short of water.
