About Morpho Evasions S.A.

Morpho Evasions S.A. is an incoming travel agency based in Costa Rica, specializing in tailor-made holidays. We are certified CST Elite levelThis guarantees a strong commitment to sustainable tourism. We are also affiliated with the CCI France-Costa Rica and recognized by theCosta Rican Tourism Institute (ICT). Our head office is located in San Carlos, Costa RicaWe also offer our customers 24/7 emergency assistance throughout their stay.

1. Reservations

Once the services chosen by the traveler have been determined, Morpho Evasions S.A. will check their availability (hotels, car rental, activities, etc.) with its service providers. Once the tour has been fully defined with the traveler, Morpho Evasions will send the information sheet by e-mail, which must be completed and returned by e-mail or web form.

The traveller must indicate the following information on the card:

  • Full name of participants
  • Passport number
  • Date of birth
  • San José flight numbers, arrival and departure times
  • A telephone number in case of emergency during your stay in Costa Rica
  • Company name and travel insurance number
  • Allergies, special dietary requirements, accessibility needs or other important information.

2. Responsibilities and Limitations

2.1. General responsibilities Morpho Evasions acts as an intermediary between the traveler and the service providers (hotels, carriers, guides, excursions, etc.) and cannot be held responsible for any failures on the part of the latter.




2.2. Air transport and baggage Morpho Evasions S.A. is not responsible for flight or airline problems, including delays, cancellations and lost luggage. In the event of loss of luggageIn case of emergency, travelers should contact their airline directly upon arrival at the airport. However, we ask them to give us the Morpho Evasions assistance number so that we can give you precise information about your whereabouts when your luggage is handed over during your stay. 2.3 Weather conditions and force majeure Morpho Evasions cannot be held responsible for adverse weather conditions or force majeure events such as natural disasters, war, civil unrest, epidemics, pandemics, vandalism, road closures or other circumstances beyond its control. If necessary, changes to the tour may be made to ensure the safety and comfort of travelers. The cost of such modifications will be borne by the traveler(s).

2.4. Portable Wi-Fi devices Morpho Evasions S.A. is not responsible for the malfunctioning of portable Wi-Fi/MIFI devices or those integrated into the rental car. We recommend that travelers provide an alternative (local SIM card, international package, etc.) if they wish to guarantee constant Internet access.

2.5. Accommodation and amenities Small hotels, ecolodges and rural accommodation do not always have air conditioning. Please inform us before booking if you require accommodation with air conditioning.

3. Pre-stay information

In order to guarantee the best possible experience, it is imperative that you inform us of any particularities that may affect your trip when planning your stay or before departure:

  • Special diet
  • Health problems (recent surgery, CPAP device for sleeping, joint problems, reduced mobility, etc.)
  • Pregnancy
  • Specific accessibility needs



4. Claims

If you encounter a problem or non-conformity during your stay, you must report it immediately on site, at the event or within 24 hours at the latest. After this period, no claim will be accepted.

5. Responsible Travel

Being a responsible traveler means :

  • Learn about local culture and respect traditions
  • Favoring local businesses and artisans
  • Avoid littering and adopt eco-responsible practices

By accepting these conditions of sale, the traveler acknowledges having read the above information and undertakes to comply with the guidelines provided.

  1. Payment & Settlement

Payments must be made in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the travel contract. Quotations are given in USD.

We recommend that travelers bring USD with them from their home country, or arrange for ATM withdrawals on arrival at the airport. If you are planning to rent a car, please ensure that your bank card (of the " credit card") is valid, as well as your driver's license. Credit card, driver's license and passport will be required to finalize the vehicle rental.

Morpho Circuit Rules for individuals (1 to 3 rooms or less than 6 people) 

Morpho Evasions grants its travellers the following conditions: 


After receipt of the invoice, a deposit of 30% of the total amount must be paid to MORPHO EVASIONS S.A. on the due date. The transfer must be made with the indication "free of charge to the recipient" in order to receive the invoiced amount. The traveler must enclose the corresponding proof of payment. 





The balance of the invoice must be paid to MORPHO EVASIONS S.A. 60 days prior to arrival during the Peak season (December 21 to January 05 and Easter week), or 45 days prior to arrival during the rest of the year. 

From payment of the down payment is equivalent to acceptance of the purchase of the trip and of our general terms and conditions of sale.Our cancellation and modification policies apply directly. 

When making an international bank transfer or credit card payment, we kindly ask you to send us the corresponding proof of payment. 


Morpho Tour Rules for GROUPS (4 rooms or more or groups of 7 or more) 

A deposit of 30% of the total invoice amount must be paid to MORPHO EVASIONS S.A. upon acceptance of the trip. The transfer must be made with the indication "free of charge to the recipient" in order to receive the invoiced amount. The traveler must enclose the corresponding proof of payment. 

The traveler will enclose the corresponding proof of payment. The balance must be paid 75 days before the group's arrival, during the Peak season (December 21 to January 05 and Easter week) or 60 days before the group's arrival, the rest of the year. The traveler must enclose the corresponding proof of payment. 

Last-minute bookings (less than 15 days before arrival) 

Full payment must be made immediately by credit card upon receipt of the completed information form. 

We acknowledge receipt of your bank transactions as soon as they have been validated or received.

7.1/ Means of payment 

MORPHO EVASIONS S.A. accepts the following payments: 

  • bank transfers : to our US dollar account (see bank details below) in Costa Rica. 

You are responsible for any bank charges your bank may levy. 

Morpho Evasions does not apply additional charges for this method of payment if you ensure that the Morpho Evasions receiving account receives the full amount as stated on the invoice, in USD. (Option at no cost to the recipient. Please check with your bank).

We offer two credit card payment options: 

  1. By secure payment link : We will send you a payment link to settle your invoice and accept the following credit cards: VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club and Discover.

  1. By credit card debit authorization*. On request, we will send you the "credit card debit authorization" form to fill in, complete and sign, and return it to us. We guarantee that your bank details will be kept confidential and destroyed after debiting. 

*An additional 3% in bank charges is retained by the Costa Rican bank. 








7.2 Cancellations and/or modifications 

Before arrival : MORPHO EVASIONS S.A. must be notified by email or telephone of any cancellations and/or modifications made by the traveler. MORPHO EVASIONS S.A. will acknowledge receipt of the notification and proceed with any modifications or cancellations, in whole or in part, in accordance with the traveler's instructions. 

No cancellation insurance is included in the services we provide. However, we recommend that our travelers take out basic travel insurance to cover trip cancellations, last-minute cancellations in the event of serious illness, death of a loved one, repatriation in the event of problems on site, etc. You can take out individual insurance directly online with companies such as Europ Assistance, Mondial Assistance, Touring, April, etc. 


However, no refunds will be made if travelers have not completed the administrative and health formalities required for travel between the traveler's country of origin and Costa Rica. 

If you request a refund, you must enclose official proof that your insurance does not cover the cancellation of your trip.

  • You must inform us as soon as possible of any cancellation due to a flight delay or any other reason. 

TOTAL OR PARTIAL CANCELLATION CHARGES : 

  1. For stays during the "Peak" season (between December 21 and January 05 and during Easter week or Holy Week): 
  • Up to 60 days before arrival date: 20% of the amount of the services concerned. 
  • Between 59 days and 45 days from the date of arrival: 30 % of the amount of the services concerned. 
  • Between 44 days and 30 days from the date of arrival: 50 % of the amount of the services concerned. 
  • Between 29 days and 0 days from the date of arrival: 100 % of the amount of the services concerned. 
  • Upon arrival and during your stay, services will not be reimbursed. 

  1. For stays taking place all year round, except during the "Peak" season (between December 21 and January 05 and during Easter week or Holy Week): 
  • Up to 45 days before date of arrival: 10 % of the amount of the services concerned. 
  • Between 44 days and 30 days from the date of arrival: 25 % of the amount of the services concerned. 
  • Between 29 days and 0 days from the date of arrival: 100 % of the amount of the services concerned. 
  • Upon arrival and during your stay, services will not be reimbursed. 


MODIFICATION COSTS : 

  1. For stays during the "Peak" season (between December 21 and January 05 and during Easter week or Holy Week): 
  • Up to 60 days from date of arrival: No charge* with the exception that certain services booked in advance are non-refundable, such as entry to certain National Parks and high-demand hotels. The travel consultant will inform you of this at the time of booking. 
  • Between 59 days and 30 days from the date of arrival: 75% of the amount of the services concerned. 
  • Between 29 days and the date of arrival: 100% of the amount of the services concerned. 
  • No refunds can be made for changes made on the date of arrival or during the stay. 

  1. For stays taking place all year round, except during the "Peak" season (between December 21 and January 05 and during Easter week or Holy Week): 
  • Up to 45 days from date of arrival: No charge* with the exception that certain services booked in advance are non-refundable, such as entry to certain National Parks and high-demand hotels. The travel consultant will inform you of this at the time of booking. 
  • Between 45 days and 30 days from date of arrival: 50% of the amount of services paid. 
  • Between 30 days and two days before the date of the modified service: 75% of the amount of the services paid, if the hotel or service provider accepts the modification. 


If a service provider has no availability or refuses to modify the reservation to another date, and the request for modification is made less than two days before the service, no refund will be granted.


Change of itinerary or service in case of Force Majeure 

In the event that a trip must be modified or delayed due to natural disasters or circumstances beyond the control of Morpho Evasions (e.g. political unrest, climate, hurricanes, pandemics or epidemics, flight changes, etc.), the additional cost incurred will be borne by the purchaser/traveler. Morpho Evasions reserves the right to modify the tour or activities (type of activity, schedule, etc.) for the buyer's/traveler's safety and comfort. 

  1. Disputes 

In the event of a dispute, only the Commercial Court of San José - Costa Rica will be empowered to arbitrate.

  1. Assistance 

MORPHO EVASIONS S.A. provides you with French-speaking assistance in case of emergency 24 hours a day for the duration of your stay. The telephone number will be given to you in the Roadbook. 

ImportantPlease make good use of our hotline service by adhering to the following timetables (in order to spread calls over the whole day and thus be able to react as quickly as possible to unexpected emergencies): 

- Office hours: 08:30 to 16:30 

- Emergency hours: 24/7 for flight delays/cancellations, car/body accidents, blocked roads, and other urgent situations. 

  1. Responsibilities 

Morpho Evasions Costa Rica is the principal operator and acts solely as agent for the passenger in respect of his or her trip, by whatever means of transportation, and assumes no responsibility for damage to or loss of property, accidents, injuries, death, anomalies or delays which may be occasioned, either as a result of a technical problem with a vehicle or other means of transportation or for any reason whatsoever or by the failure of any carrier, hotel, restaurant, boat, company or person providing the services included in the trip. We are not responsible for any claim, loss of enjoyment, anxiety or frustration, physical or moral resulting from : 

- The act or omission of any party other than Morpho Evasions and its employees 

- Mechanical breakdowns, government actions, weather, climate or oil spills, work on roads, bridges or accommodation (closed swimming pools, buildings near your accommodation, etc.), power failures or other factors beyond our control. 

- Inability to obtain documents, passports, visas and health certificates valid until the return date, if necessary, in which case cancellation charges will apply. 

- Non-compliance with instructions, including check-in and check-out and baggage handling 

- Baggage that does not arrive on the same flight as passengers (contact your airline as soon as you arrive at the airport). 

- Items or documents forgotten or lost during your stay and the return of these items to your home. If you have lost an object or document during your stay, you must contact the service provider directly to discuss the logistics of recovering these objects, if possible. 

- Medical or health problems, or a physical handicap. 

- Connection problems and Internet access difficulties at the various sites visited by travellers or during their journeys.

  1. European Package Travel Directive 

In order to respond transparently to the new package travel regulations in force from July 1, 2018, you will find below the new applicable rules. 

  1. This trip is designed and operated by Morpho Evasions S.A., San Carlos, Costa Rica ID: 3-101-633871. Email: info@morphocostarica.com. Morpho Evasions acts as organizer and retailer. 

PASSPORT Your passport must be in good condition and valid for at least one day beyond the date you plan to leave Costa Rica. However, if you are transiting through other countries, each country has its own formalities, and it is the traveler's responsibility to check each country's formalities before booking the flight and stay. 

No visa required for Belgian, French, Swiss and Canadian nationals. Please note! For Belgian, Swiss and French travelers transiting the USA, in addition to passports, the US Department of Homeland Security has introduced a new electronic travel authorization system called "ESTA". You can fill in the ESTA form on the US government website: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/

Health Vaccinations: Check with the Costa Rican Embassy, depending on the countries you have visited previously, as certain vaccinations may be required, depending on the countries visited, the periods (pandemics and other possible limiting factors). For example: A yellow fever vaccination certificate is only required for travellers arriving from countries where there is a risk of yellow fever transmission: Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Gambia, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Bolivia, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador (French Guyana is also concerned). This vaccination must be carried out at least 10 days before entering Costa Rica. 

VISA Every traveler is responsible for verifying his or her administrative situation and the related conditions of access in order to travel freely in Costa Rica. 

InsuranceThe price quoted by Morpho Evasions does not include any health, repatriation or other type of insurance, with the exception of the vehicle rental company's basic insurance, if the rental of a vehicle has been requested from us. In such cases, the vehicle rental company is solely responsible for the insurance provided, and Morpho Evasions S.A. cannot be held liable. Morpho Evasions recommends that you take out travel insurance. 

  1. Morpho Evasions S.A. is responsible for the proper execution of all services detailed in the "Your trip includes" category of the contract in accordance with article L211-16. Morpho Evasions is also obliged to assist you if you are in difficulty in accordance with article L211-17-1. 
  2. The financial guarantor of Morpho Evasions S.A. is INS, Avenida Escazú, edificio 202, piso 4, local 401, Costa Rica.   3. The traveler is required to inform Morpho Evasions as soon as possible of any non-conformity that he/she observes during the trip or stay in accordance with II of article L11-16. No complaints will be received after the traveler's departure. 
  4. In the event of a dispute or claim, only the Commercial Court of San José - Costa Rica will be empowered to arbitrate. 
  5. In accordance with article L211-11, the traveler may transfer his contract to another traveler. The maximum deadline is 45 days before the traveler's arrival. The costs of modification and/or termination will be borne by the transferor. 

Buyers have carefully read these conditions and confirm that they are aware of and accept them. The conditions of sale are automatically accepted at the time of payment for your trip.
